Pinerolo, the Children’s Book Cottage is the home for children's books in New South Wales – at Blackheath in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Pinerolo promotes Australian picture books and their creators, educates children and adults about picture books, provides a venue for the exhibition of original artwork from picture books and brings people interested in picture books together in an inspiring environment

Creating Picture Books: Our next course on will be on Saturday 24 March 2018, featuring Freya Blackwood. Freya was so brilliant last year, we’ve invited her back. She’s a multi-award-winning illustrator and author and will join book publisher Margaret Hamilton presenting a course on creating picture books. All levels of expertise welcome. A valuable opportunity for anyone interested in the process of creating a picture book. Full details and booking form here.

Illustrators in Residence 2018

Pinerolo and WestWords once again partner to present Illustrators in Residence. Successful applicants will have a whole week in residence to work on a project, with me available for editorial assistance and mentorship. Two places are available. Applications close 30 April.
